To celebrate Radnor’s newest space—in the penthouse at Brooklyn Tower—the gallery presented “Through Light & Matter,” a solo exhibition of new work by Los Angeles–based textile artist Rachel DuVall. It marked DuVall’s first solo presentation in New York City as she joins Radnor’s curated roster of artists and designers.

Making Space, a new symposium that explores the nuances of home, made its debut in Los Angeles. Organized by Untapped in collaboration with L.A. Forum for Architecture and Urban Design and hosted in the DTLA showroom of the design company Henrybuilt, the program focused on the theme “The House I Grew Up In.” 

Its fascinating talks—by journalist Frances Anderton, artist Kenturah Davis, director Erich Joiner, designer Sam Klemick, and architects Annie Chu and Joe Dangaran—illuminated how design shapes us, offering listeners new ways of thinking about and experiencing home. 

At a private loft in Dimes Square, Untapped celebrated the release of its third print edition with its contributors, featured architects and designers, and friends new and old, who took in a singular site-specific performance directed by designer Nifemi Ogunro with music by Gregory Beson.

Untapped’s Print Edition 003 took over the window at CASA Magazines, where visitors could snag a copy ahead of its official release.

Untapped’s editor-in-chief, Tiffany Jow, joined critic Christopher Hawthorne and architectural design professor and YouTuber Stewart Hicks for a conversation at Speaker’s Corner, an installation in the Arsenale at the Venice Architecture Biennale developed by Florencia Rodriguez, Johnston Marklee, and Hawthorne. They discussed how they navigate an evolving media landscape, and how different approaches, whether long-form or short-form, shape public engagement, professional voice, and disciplinary discourse.

We kicked off the third season of the New York Architecture + Design Book Club with A Book of Things (Lars Müller Publishers), a monograph on designer Jasper Morrison, updated and expanded ten years after its initial publication. Nick Olney, director of Kasmin Gallery—which gave Jasper his first North American solo gallery exhibition, in 2019—and Jonathan Olivares, SVP of design at Knoll, spoke about their long-time relationship with the designer, who was undoubtedly there in spirit. 

Together with Friedman Benda in New York, Untapped organized a program to celebrate the opening of “Formation,” the first U.S. gallery exhibition by the Milan-based studio Formafantasma. Its founders, Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, began the evening with a walk-through of the show, which focuses on the relationship between furniture, the home, and the concept of the archetype in design. It was followed by a conversation, led by our editor-in-chief, Tiffany Jow, about “Formation”’s core ideas, and by extension, the core ideas driving Formafantasma’s distinct practice. Casa Cork, a living laboratory that explored cork’s overlooked potential for material innovation, craft, and a circular economy, made its debut at Milan Design Week 2025. Created by David Rockwell and the nonprofit Cork Collective, the installation featured various activations to bring its ideas to life. This included the Casa Cork Salon Series, curated and led by Untapped, which explored topics specific and adjacent to cork so as to demonstrate its wide-ranging significance. For Collectible’s first New York iteration, Untapped conceptualized and led a conversation about harnessing nature and technology to shape the future of design with architect Winka Dubbeldam, founder and partner of Archi-Tectonics, and artist Clement Valla, dean of experimental and foundation studies at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Expanding on an exhibition of the same name at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in Manhattan, the book A Dark, A Bright, A Light: The Designs of Dorothy Liebes (Yale University Press) illuminates the designer’s trailblazing legacy. Authors and exhibition co-curators Susan Brown and Alexa Griffith Winton spoke with architect Juan Jofre Lora about the role of textiles in architecture and the “Liebes Look.”

At 2023’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair, an exhibition called “The Crossroads” immersed visitors in two icons of Americana—the home and the great outdoors—filled with objects made by designers working around the country. Created by architect David Rockwell, Rockwell Group, and writer and curator Pei-Ru Keh, the show served as the fair’s centerpiece and offered a snapshot of American design today. Inside the presentation each day, the space was activated by Dialogues at The Crossroads, a lively informal discussion led by Untapped’s editor-in-chief, Tiffany Jow, about the primary contexts from which the works on view arise.
